Meeting 12/5/12

Wednesday we finally had our conference with Justin Lai.
It went really well, although we had a few technical errors.
We also gained a new member, Jacob Hempel, far left.
Along with Jacob, we also got our InvenTeam polo shirts.
We also now have one of the current canvas' being used to hold the dolphin, and we only plan to make a few small changes to it, if any.
It was a really productive meeting, we got a lot done.

Interview with Dan McReady from WQRC radio, 11/20/2012

Jack, Ryley, and I went to the Cape Cod Broadcasting building at 2:10 today. We went in the building, and everyone was very welcoming. Mr. McReady brought us into the booth and asked us a few questions about the Lemelson-MIT program, and our project in general.
We all agreed it was one of the coolest things we've ever done.
Our interview will air at four different times, on Sunday the 25th.
  • 5 AM, WKPE 103.9 FM
  • 6 AM, WFCC 107.5 FM
  • 7 AM, WQRC 99.9 FM
  • 8 AM, WOCN 104.7 FM
So tune in everyone, to hear our InvenTeam on air!

Meeting today. 11/14/2012

  • We went over document naming, and how to keep them all similar and easy to recognize. We decided SturgisW_nameofdoc_date.
  • We also decided that a good way to bring in new members was to officially invite them. So I typed up a invitation to be handed out tomorrow.
  • Dominic demonstrated SolidWorks to the team, showing us the basics of the program.
  • Joshua showed the team his budget spreadsheet, complete with a pie chart!
  • Ryley and Jack went over details of materials and prices of components to be purchased in the future. They also discussed what vendors to use.
All in all it was a very productive meeting. We meet every Wednesday after school, and we'll keep you posted.
